If you have the cable but not the charger you can use any USB charger, place the cable on the charger and the trimmer and you are ready to charge it.

Of course, this is not optimal you should use its own charger but when you don’t have any other option this is a nice extra bonus option to have.

The battery indicator light is located just below the power button and lets you know when the battery is running low. When the three led stop blinking, the battery is full.

Motor

Its motor could be better and therefore its speed could be higher. The motor is what makes a trimmer powerful. This one has a decent motor but it definitely could have been better.

No Stainless Steel Blade

The Mi Beard Trimmer 1c’s blades have just the tip made of stainless steel. The rest of the blade is made of carbon steel.

This means that the blades are not as durable as other trimmers on the market and will need to be replaced more often (but not too often)

Not Water Proof

The Mi Beard Trimmer 1c is not waterproof, so you cannot use it in the shower or wash it with tap water. It actually has a sign at the bottom of a tap crossed off to show that it is not waterproof. You must be more careful when using it and keep it dry at all times.

However, you can always wash the blades and the head section.

Temperature

Normally the trimmer does not have any issues with heat. However, if you use it over 20-25 minutes non stop it will start to get heated. Not too much but you will start to notice.

It Doesn’t Work While Trimming

This is a big one for me for 2 reasons. The first one is that when you are in a hurry you cannot wait for 1-2 hours for it to charge and then use it.

Secondly, when the battery starts to lose its power over the years it will last let’s say 10-15-20 minutes and if it cannot work while plugged in you will have a 10-15-20 minute trim before it needs to be fully charged once again. I have encountered this with many other trimmers I have tested and it was very very annoying.

Warranty

Its warranty is only 1 year compared to most Philips’ trimmers which have a 2-year warranty.
