In this article, we will make a brutally honest Brio Beardscape review allowing you to form your own objective opinion about it. Here, we won’t tell you ah this trimmer is perfect go buy it or it is terrible go buy my other choice.

Here, we will just inform you with every little detail about this trimmer, its advantages and disadvantages and you will decide if it is a good fit for you.

Without further ado, let’s get into it.

What Does The Brio Beardscape Trimmer Include?

brio beardscape review

Brio Beardscape comes in a very high-quality package with a magnetic opening that allows you to reuse and store it or store other stuff conveniently.

To be honest, the packaging is quite impressive. The product seems more expensive than it really is.

Here is what it includes:

  • 4 reversible length guards from 1mm to 18mm
  • 5 speed settings
  • A digital display
  • Super quiet motor
  • Very long battery life
  • Small Cleaning Brush
  • Lubricating oil
  • USB plugging cord
  • Charging base
  • A 110-220 power adapter
  • The warranty card

I think they could also include a travel case. Sometimes they give it to customers for free but other times not.

The Brio Beardscape makes an excellent hair trimmer and is perfect for any manscaping project. But let’s move into the details!

Brio Beardscape Review: Pros – Feature Analysis

brio beardscape features

Display Screen

This display screen shows exactly how many minutes the battery will last and also how fast the motor is operating. There are different speed options that will alter the duration of the battery.

It is a useful feature to have.

Charging/ Battery

This trimmer needs 3 hours to charge fully. A charging base is also included and you can put your trimmer in.

The trimmer has the option to charge both if you decide to put it in the base or not. This means you don’t have to carry the base if you travel. Quite important.

The Brio Beardscape also includes a USB cable. This is helpful, for example, if you want to charge it on your laptop. Another cool option.

Its battery is super long.

More specifically, it lasts 240 minutes at 5000 RPM and 180 minutes at 7000 RPM which is way longer than their competitors’.

Another cool thing is that you can use it while it is charging. This can come in handy if you forget to charge it and you want to get a cut really fast.

Design/ Quality

The quality of this trimmer is much higher compared to an average trimmer.

Its materials will last for years therefore it is a good investment for men that trim their beards often.

It has ceramic blades paired with a titanium rake that move faster and give you a sharper and more comfortable cut.

Its ceramic blade is killer. It doesn’t heat up, unlike a steel blade. (More on this later on)

The screen that shows the different speed options, the battery life, etc is also very useful. The speed options are 70, 65,60, 55, 50 RPM (rotations per minute). On average, its battery lasts at least 3 hours.

To sum up, this trimmer has awesome blades’ quality, a long battery, many speed options, it is quiet and doesn’t heat up, it has nice packaging and you can cut hair while charging.

Cord/Cordless

As I briefly mentioned before, the trimmer works even if it is charging, which is a major advantage for many people who forget to charge their trimmer and are in a rush.

Of course, it also works without the cord, and its battery lasts about 3-4 hours which is pretty good.

Guards

This trimmer can cut hair from 1mm to 18mm. It only has 4 guards but each has various length options you can choose. This is cool because you don’t have to remove and re-attach another one all the time.

Their quality is really good. It has a ceramic blade with titanium rake. This ensures less friction and heat.

In addition to that, you can move the blades up and down 0.3mm by pressing a button on the trimmer especially when you don’t have a guard attached. This gives you the ability to do amazing fades and erase the lines very easily and precisely.

However, you have to lubricate this trimmer which I do not like.

Convenience

The Brio Beardscape is very quiet, and it doesn’t vibrate. It makes you wonder if it is powerful enough. However, it is very powerful and never pulls hair, which is absolutely mandatory for a trimmer.

This happens because its ceramic blades are 4 times harder than stainless steel. This trimmer also doesn’t heat as much because of the quality of its materials.

All in all, the whole process of trimming was a pleasant experience for me.

Grips and Weight

Brio Beardscape has an amazing grip and it is very easy to fit your hand and use. But, it is a bit heavier than other trimmers we have got. However, this also shows the quality of the materials used.

If you ask me, I didn’t have any concern about its weight. It weighs 7.8 ounces which is 226 grams. Solid.

Pricing

At least for the time this article is written, its price is about $90.

Please don’t get me wrong you can find trimmers with fewer bucks. However, this one is better than those.

If you trim your beard rarely, it doesn’t make sense to buy this trimmer. But, if you have let’s say a stubble beard, you are trimming your beard every week or even more often and you want a high-quality product for your whole body, then it is a yes from me.

Brio Beardscape Review – Cons

brio beardscape review

The main drawback of this trimmer is the difficulty to re-attach the blades when you remove them to clean them.

Maybe, I don’t do something right. But, I think it is tricky. The blades should be re-attached very fast and easily.

Another drawback is that you its price. Most trimmers are less expensive than this one. But also worse. So, there is this debate. Is it worth my money? I think by the end of this article, you will have a better picture.

Finally, this trimmer needs oiling which is kinda normal but there are trimmers that do not need it. So, for me, it is a drawback.

Can Brio Beardscape Be Used On Hair or Pubes?

Brio Beardscape is an amazing and powerful tool and it can be used safely both on hair and on your pubic hair.

It has all the different length options to do that. It doesn’t pull out hair, and it is soft on your skin, according to our testing.

But, in general, when you are using a trimmer in different areas and especially on your balls make sure you sterilize it well after the use. You don’t want to transfer bacteria to your beard and hair.

Does Brio Beardscape Catch Hair?

This trimmer is not a vacuum trimmer, and it doesn’t catch any hair. You will have to clean the sink. That’s for sure.

Vacuum trimmers are not my thing, however. I have yet to find vacuum trimmers that are as good as non-vacuum trimmers.

I prefer the superior product rather than a worse product that catches some hair. Keep in mind vacuum trimmers do not catch all hair. But, they catch the majority of it.

Is The Brio Beardscape Waterproof?

You CANNOT use or clean the Brio under running water.

So, if you are planning to shave your balls, don’t do it while the water is running. You will destroy it.

Be careful.

Can Brio Beardscape Do A Close Shave?

Well, this depends on how deep you want it to cut your facial hair. This trimmer cuts up to 1mm which in my opinion is very long for a trimmer at this price point.

However, you can buy an extra guard that cut hair (nearly shaves) at 0.2mm which is the shortest I have ever seen. Most trimmers cut up to 0.5 and the really good ones up to 0.3.

Yeah, I know, it is frustrating that you have to pay extra money. But, I think thet didn’t want to include it because, then, the trimmer would cost more (let’s say $100). Most men do not want to cut their facial hair to 0.2 so it would be an unnecessary cost for them.

But, now, only people that want a really short cut will buy the extra guard.

Conclusion

Brio Beardscape is a great trimmer that is awesome for manscaping.

Its high quality differentiates it from other trimmers at the 40-50$ price point.

I recommend this trimmer to men that love their grooming tool and will use it often.

If you shave or trim your beard once every 2 months, it makes no sense to invest so much money for a trimmer. You can just Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 for much less. You can read the full Norelco 7000 review here.
